In addition to standard micro-precision drills, G\u00fchring’s micro-precision drill programme also offers special tools to customer requirements for both HSS-E-PM and solid carbide micro-precision drills. Due to increasing miniaturisation, especially in telecommunications and IT, such user-friendly and stock drilling tools are increasingly required. Compared to competing processes such as laser drilling, the micro-machining scores with easier integration into the manufacturing and cost-effectiveness.<\/p>\n

With the thread production and the reaming in the micro range, the mere miniaturisation of tools is not enough to achieve a satisfactory result. The aim here is to enable the series production of electronic components, as well as precision engineering and optical goods. Therefore, the process reliability and tool life are important to prevent unnecessary tool change cycles and to ensure a cost-effective production in the micro range.<\/p>\n

These conditions require manufacturing technologies that are tailored to the product.
