Polished flutes and the best surface quality in the web thinning improve the chip removal and minimise built-up edge formation. As a result, we guarantee a very high process reliability in drilling depths up to 7xD. A new drill geometry serves the same purpose: the optimised, crescent-shaped cutting edge and the stronger taper of the tool minimise the tendency to jam in stainless steel.<\/p>\n<p>The premium quality of the cutting edges ensures greater wear resistance and consistency. In addition, the material tends to jam, which means that it contracts during drilling, causing drill bits to frequently jam and break in the hole. Another property of high-grade steel also contributes to tool wear: the material often sticks to the cutting edges during drilling.
