Furthermore, we expect high dimensional accuracy of the components, clean surfaces and the ability to reliably achieve higher material throughput rates for industrial applications.\u201d And that is often where the real challenge lies of the matter lies, as Dieckmann knows from experience: \u201cThe biggest challenge lies in the high abrasiveness of glass fibre-reinforced materials. Als Werkstoffe kommen dabei haupts\u00e4chlich technische Kunststoffe und glasfaserverst\u00e4rkte Materialien zum Einsatz.<br \/>\nAbrasive Materialien als Herausforderung<br \/>\nDie Anspr\u00fcche sind hoch \u2013 vor allem an einen kleinen, aber zentralen Teil des 3D-Druckers: Die Druckerd\u00fcse. \u201eF\u00fcr uns stehen vor allem Prozesssicherheit, Verschlei\u00dffestigkeit und eine gleichbleibend hohe Druckqualit\u00e4t im Vordergrund\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt Erik Dieckmann, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer von Mach-3D. \u201eDie D\u00fcse muss auch bei abrasiven Werkstoffen \u00fcber lange Zeit ein konstantes Austragsverhalten gew\u00e4hrleisten. Dar\u00fcber hinaus erwarten wir eine hohe Ma\u00dfhaltigkeit der Bauteile, saubere Oberfl\u00e4chen und die M\u00f6glichkeit, auch gr\u00f6\u00dfere Materialdurchs\u00e4tze f\u00fcr industrielle Anwendungen zuverl\u00e4ssig zu realisieren.\u201c Und genau da liegt oft der Knackpunkt, wie Dieckmann aus Erfahrung wei\u00df: \u201eDie gr\u00f6\u00dfte Herausforderung liegt in der hohen Abrasivit\u00e4t glasfaserverst\u00e4rkter Materialien. Herk\u00f6mmliche D\u00fcsen verschlei\u00dfen hier relativ schnell.\u201c<br \/>\nIn der Praxis f\u00fchrte das bei Mach-3D h\u00e4ufig zu instabilen Prozessen. Der D\u00fcsendurchmesser \u00e4nderte sich mit der Laufzeit und damit auch das Extrusionsverhalten der D\u00fcse. Die Folge: Qualit\u00e4tsschwankungen, zus\u00e4tzlicher Pr\u00fcfaufwand und ungeplante Stillst\u00e4nde. Besonders bei gro\u00dfformatigen Bauteilen mit langen Druckzeiten von Stunden oder sogar Tagen sowie bei Projekten mit hohen Anteilen glasfaserverst\u00e4rkter Materialien wurden die Grenzen herk\u00f6mmlicher D\u00fcsen deutlich.<br \/>\nKlassische L\u00f6sungen sto\u00dfen an Grenzen<br \/>\nMach-3D versuchte, mit Stahld\u00fcsen und Rubind\u00fcsen das Verschlei\u00dfproblem beim Druck abrasiver Materialien in den Griff zu bekommen. Beide Ans\u00e4tze lieferten jedoch keine stabile L\u00f6sung f\u00fcr den industriellen Dauereinsatz. Bei den Stahld\u00fcsen trat bei l\u00e4ngerem Einsatz Verschlei\u00df auf, der die Druckqualit\u00e4t beeinflusste. Rubind\u00fcsen boten zwar eine hohe Verschlei\u00dffestigkeit, waren jedoch empfindlicher gegen\u00fcber mechanischen Belastungen. \u201eF\u00fcr den laufenden Betrieb bedeutete dies zus\u00e4tzlichen Wartungsaufwand und teilweise ungeplante Stillst\u00e4nde\u201c, so Deickmann. Entscheidend war daher die Suche nach einer D\u00fcse, die nicht nur l\u00e4nger h\u00e4lt, sondern dabei auch konstante Ergebnisse liefert.<br \/>\nDIANOZ bringt Prozessstabilit\u00e4t zur\u00fcck<br \/>\nMit der Diamantd\u00fcse DIANOZ von G\u00fchring gelang der Wechsel zu einer stabilen L\u00f6sung. Was diese D\u00fcse so besonders macht: Die DIANOZ verf\u00fcgt \u00fcber eine Spitze aus polykristallinem Diamant (PKD) mit deutlich h\u00f6herer H\u00e4rte als Messing oder geh\u00e4rteter Stahl, wodurch Geometrie und Austrittsdurchmesser auch bei abrasiven Filamenten stabil bleiben. Der Filamentkanal ist reibungsoptimiert und im konischen Engbereich diamantverst\u00e4rkt ausgef\u00fchrt, um Verschlei\u00df und Str\u00f6mungsst\u00f6rungen zu minimieren. Aufgrund der hohen W\u00e4rmeleitf\u00e4higkeit des Diamanten entspricht die tats\u00e4chliche D\u00fcsentemperatur weitgehend der Solltemperatur, was zu reproduzierbaren thermischen Bedingungen im Schmelzbereich f\u00fchrt.<br \/>\nF\u00fcr Mach-3D zeigt sich der Nutzen im Betrieb: \u201eDer gr\u00f6\u00dfte Vorteil liegt f\u00fcr uns in der Kombination aus hoher Verschlei\u00dffestigkeit, Prozesssicherheit und gleichbleibender Druckqualit\u00e4t\u201c, sagt Erik Dieckmann. DIANOZ liefere ihm endlich die Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit, nach der er gesucht hatte. \u201eBereits nach den ersten Druckversuchen war erkennbar, dass die D\u00fcse f\u00fcr den industriellen Einsatz entwickelt wurde\u201c, berichtet Dieckmann. Besonders \u00fcberzeugt habe ihn die Kombination aus hochwertiger Verarbeitung, technischer Auslegung f\u00fcr abrasive Materialien und der Erfahrung von G\u00fchring als Zerspanungsspezialist.<br \/>\nKonstante Qualit\u00e4t \u00fcber lange Laufzeiten<br \/>\nDie Wirkung wird vor allem im Langzeiteinsatz sichtbar. W\u00e4hrend sich bei konventionellen D\u00fcsen das Druckbild ver\u00e4ndert, bleibt DIANOZ stabil. \u201eAuch nach der Verarbeitung abrasiver Materialien konnten wir keine relevanten Ver\u00e4nderungen hinsichtlich Druckbild, Materialfluss oder Bauteilqualit\u00e4t feststellen\u201c, best\u00e4tigt Dieckmann.<br \/>\nDiese Stabilit\u00e4t verbessert die Reproduzierbarkeit. Ma\u00dfhaltigkeit und Oberfl\u00e4chenqualit\u00e4t bleiben konstant, unabh\u00e4ngig von der Laufzeit. Gleichzeitig sinkt der Wartungsaufwand. \u201eWir konnten den Aufwand f\u00fcr Kontrolle, Wartung und D\u00fcsenwechsel sp\u00fcrbar reduzieren\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt Dieckmann.  Die Maschinen laufen l\u00e4nger ohne Eingriff, die Produktion l\u00e4sst sich besser planen.<br \/>\nPartnerschaft statt Lieferantenbeziehung<br \/>\nMittlerweile setzt Mach-3D die Diamantd\u00fcse als Standard in der eigenen Produktion ein. \u201eAus einer klassischen Lieferantenbeziehung hat sich eine enge technologische Partnerschaft entwickelt\u201c, beschreibt Dieckmann. Dabei sch\u00e4tzt der Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer an G\u00fchring vor allem, dass der Werkzeughersteller zwei entscheidende Faktoren vereint: hervorragende Produktqualit\u00e4t und jahrzehntelange Erfahrung im Bereich hochverschlei\u00dffester Pr\u00e4zisionswerkzeuge. \u201eW\u00e4hrend viele Anbieter ausschlie\u00dflich aus dem 3D-Druck-Umfeld kommen, bringt G\u00fchring umfangreiches Know-how aus der Zerspanung und Werkstofftechnik mit\u201c, stellt Dieckmann fest. \u201eDiese Kompetenz spiegelt sich unmittelbar in der Leistungsf\u00e4higkeit der DIANOZ-D\u00fcsen wider.\u201c<br \/>\nDie Zusammenarbeit m\u00fcndet nun in eine OEM-Partnerschaft. Mach-3D wird DIANOZ serienm\u00e4\u00dfig in seinen neuen Gro\u00dfformatdruckern einsetzen. \u201eF\u00fcr unsere neue Maschine war klar, dass wir unseren Kunden auch bei der Druckerd\u00fcse von Beginn an eine bew\u00e4hrte L\u00f6sung anbieten m\u00f6chten\u201c, begr\u00fcndet Dieckmann diese Entscheidung. The nozzle diameter changed over time, and with it the extrusion behaviour of the nozzle. The result: fluctuations in quality, additional testing effort and unplanned downtime. However, neither approach provided a stable solution for continuous industrial use. With the steel nozzles, wear occurred during prolonged use, which affected print quality. Although ruby nozzles offered high wear resistance, they were more sensitive to mechanical stress. \u201cFor day-to-day operations, this meant additional maintenance work and, in some cases, unplanned downtime,\u201d said Deickmann. What makes this nozzle so special is that the DIANOZ features a polycrystalline diamond (PCD) tip with a significantly higher hardness than brass or hardened steel, ensuring that the geometry and exit diameter remain stable even with abrasive filaments. The filament channel is friction-optimised and diamond-reinforced in the tapered section, to minimise wear and flow disturbances. The director particularly values the fact that G\u00fchring combines two crucial factors: outstanding product quality and decades of experience in the field of high-wear-resistant precision tools. \u201cWhilst many suppliers come exclusively from the 3D printing sector, G\u00fchring brings extensive expertise from the fields of machining and materials technology,\u201d notes Dieckmann. \u201cThis expertise is directly reflected in the level of performance of the DIANOZ nozzles.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The collaboration is now leading to a OEM partnership.
