From design to series application
Gühring is a competent mechanical engineering partner. Based on the 3D data of workpiece, fixture and work area our OEM department produces the complete machining process for an economic component production including comprehensive simulations, production start-up support as well as process optimisation.
Gühring’s various OEM centres provide machine builders with a competent service in process design and machine acceptance. In Germany alone there are in excess of 200 Gühring employees active world-wide in the OEM sector. Furthermore, there is a specifically created key account mechanical engineering division that provides customer support.
A project analysis with the customer is the basis for tool design and collision observations taking into account the workpiece and the fixture. Then the project department accompanies the set-up of the machine as well as the acceptance on-site with the machine manufacturer. Necessary process technical tool modifications are implemented promptly by our application technicians in close co-operation with the machine manufacturer. This service also includes the on-time provision of a comprehensive technical documentation.
On request the technical field service of the project department attends the commissioning of the machine in order to undertake any necessary tool optimisations directly on-site or to arrange them but document them for a later date. Furthermore, during series operation Gühring’s technical field service is available at any time as a contact person for the user, in order to solve occurring problems quickly and customer-friendly if required. New findings of Gühring’s tool development are introduced and possibly implemented for a continuous optimisation to the existing production. Users may not only seek advice from Gühring’s project management regarding the machine’s original equipment but also regarding the conversion of existing manufacturing facilities to new workpieces and processes.
