You can only get the most out of your Gühring tool by using the correct cutting data. Incorrect parameters can lead to tool wear, poor surface quality and longer machining times. The correct cutting data, on the other hand, increases the efficiency and quality of the manufacturing process. That is why we provide you with the optimum cutting data right from the start.

How to use CAD for your manufacturing

Computer-aided design (CAD) helps you develop real objects and plan processes, which is why CAD data and models play a crucial role in machining when complex geometries need to be created and directly implemented in CNC machines. We offer you standardised 2D and 3D models for this purpose.

Employees discuss CAD drawings and cutting data

CAD drawings and 3D tool models can be found in the Gühring online shop in the following formats: DXF, STP, XML and PNG. You can also find more than 50,000 different CAD models in our CAD portal. Simply register for free, find the desired tool via a guided menu and download the CAD model in the appropriate format.

Which documents can I exchange electronically with Gühring?

As a registered user in the shop, you have access to tool models and CAD drawings, which you can download. You can find technical information on the item detail page under the “Downloads” tab or in the CAD portal.

For which tools are CAD files available?

We offer free data sheets for all our cutting tools. This gives you access to 2D and 3D models for around 100,000 tools.

In which formats can I download tool data?

Tool data and drawings can be downloaded in the following file formats: DXF and PNG based on ISO/TS 13399-70, STP based on DIN 4003, ISO 13399 and XML based on DIN 4000, ISO/TS13399-72. Additional CAD-CAM formats are available in our CAD portal.
