Whether cast iron, aluminium and wrought aluminium alloys, rust and acid-resistant, high-strength or general steels – the PowerTap tap series promises high-performance taps for the most common thread in almost all materials.
Optimal tool materials and geometries
The special geometry of the Gühring PowerTap tap makes them true all-rounders and enables outstanding machining results in a wide range of applications. State-of-the-art manufacturing technologies guarantee the highest quality “Made in Germany” at an unbeatable price-performance ratio. High and constant tool lives are achieved through an optimised cutting edge geometry. Both HSS-E and HSS-E-PM quality steels are used as tool materials. These are finished with TiN coatings to maximise the performance of the PowerTap tap and achieve higher feed rates and long tool lives. The visual hallmark of the PowerTap series from Gühring is the gold-coloured ring.
