GTMS offers comprehensive tool management, adapted to the individual processes of our customers. For example, you can keep an eye on configuration data and tool life cycles, manage the entire administration of your BOM and quickly and easily assign documents to the individual tools.

Warehouse management

Automated warehouse management is the core function of our tool dispensing systems and it can be fully controlled via GTMS. The software continuously identifies potentials for improvement, for example by detecting idle inventory or shortening access times through storage space optimisation. It is also possible to connect automatic storage systems (Kardex, Haenel, Modula).

Tool tracking

Each tool can be individually traced. GTMS records the entire life cycle of the tool, such as the remaining tool life or the number of regrinds to date. You can also see on which machine the tool is currently being used.

Process data analysis

Process data analysis using GTMS can capture and analyse hidden influencing factors. This is achieved by taking a holistic view of the machining process and documenting the process-relevant machining data of all spindles and axes as well as other parameters from the machine control system. In this way, the influencing factors on the tool, workpiece, clamping operation and machine, which otherwise remain hidden, can be recorded in a targeted way. Vibrations in the machining process, geometric irregularities on the tool, tool wear, material deviations and flaws are captured easily. Waste, problems and potentials are uncovered and visualised as a result. Using a graphics-based evaluation, information can be easily prepared in a clear format as a basis for discussion.

With GTMS, you can automate the entire procurement process. Among other things, the software enables customer-specific form printing, supplier evaluations, incoming goods inspections, display of framework agreements and sliding price scales, and it also has a consignment function.

GTMS displays the entire management of all test equipment, including documentation and monitoring of the calibration intervals. The monitoring of loan periods and tracking give you an overview of all available test equipment at all times.

Operating equipment management

GTMS handles the entire management of all operating equipment, including documentation and monitoring of maintenance intervals. All loan periods are monitored and therefore traceable. This allows you to get an overview of all available operating equipment at any time.

Incoming goods inspection

GTMS gives you the option to enter item-specific evaluations for each delivery. Supplier evaluations are available at the push of a button; you can define the weighting of the criteria for them individually.

Component inspection

Document your entire component inspection with a paperless system: the inspection can be displayed directly on the machine, for example, and inspection plans are managed digitally.

You can do all of your production planning with GTMS job management. The software allows you to assign a job to a machine, including the creation of a difference list and demand-driven setup preview. GTMS automatically records and displays the actual run times at the work process and job level.

Machine connection

GTMS offers an interface to your production machines – regardless of the control system or manufacturer. This means that you can view all machine statuses at any time and from anywhere. In the event of problems, messages are sent automatically and measures are initiated to resolve the faults as quickly as possible. The tool magazine is also constantly monitored, so that tool changes are planned in advance and run times of the machine can be actively used for setting-up. Wear data for each tool is also determined. Tool problems become apparent as soon as they occur, instead of just during component quality control. Our NC manager can transfer the required NC program directly to the machine. Changes in the program are documented so that it is always possible to track what has been changed in the event of variations in quality. In addition, the interface to the machine makes it possible to record and monitor process data. In this way, GTMS monitors the machining process in real time and can detect machining problems and react in a timely manner.

The following costs are unknown in many companies: machine downtimes or additional set-up processes due to unavailable tools; considerable time spent during production, as the appropriate tool firstly needs to be searched for; overstock or understock and an unnecessarily wide variety of tools.
